Final year project: Totemic constructions

I explore the present relationship that humans have with their natural surroundings and propose a co-existance between different beings through configurations of human and non-human animal and plant forms.

Totemism is taken as a key influence to celebrate indigeneous beliefs that privilidge a strong bond with nature and as a way to show the necessity of this kind of thought still today, in the Anthropocene era.

Veneration of the natural world brings to its respect and ultimately to foster the protection of the environment and its creatures.
