Final year project: Totemic constructions

I explore the present relationship that humans have with their natural surroundings and propose a co-existance between different beings through configurations of human and non-human animal and plant forms. Totemism is taken as a key influence to celebrate indigeneous beliefs that privilidge a strong bond with nature and as a way to show the necessity of this kind of thought still today, in the Anthropocene era. Third year, first semester: Hybrid creatures, between human and non-human

I create hybrid beings in between human and non-human animals to show the need to re-unite with our natural surroundings in order to find our inner selves and manage to express ourselves fully, without repressing instinctive/animalistic feelings. I explore what it means to be animal and acknowledge the true animal-like nature of humans. I am inspired by the historical idea of humans with a dual nature, in between beastly and divine creatures. Yet, I put forward a more complex utopic vision that wants to see humans as embedded within nature and that take on elements of non-human creatures. First year university works: against hunting

Hunting is part of the nature of every animal, including humans. But these have exedeed the measures of hunt causing the disappearance of many species throughout history and today is still a major issue which needs to be tackled. Is it fair to hunt if not solely to survive? Or if not with our own natural abilities, like animals do? Should we be learning from animals to become less human and more animal-like to assure the existence of all species ?
